RCSI print collections have a strong focus on health sciences, medicine and surgery our modern collections support teaching, learning and research activities in RCSI. Our print collections are available to RCSI students and staff through the services listed in this LibGuide.
Click & Collect
Click & Collect services allow you to place online requests for print books held in RCSI Library York Street and Beaumont Hospital for collection.
The service is available to all students who are members of a Learning Community with scheduled access to either library space in York Street or Beaumont Hospital. This includes students assigned to learning communities for:
and RCSI staff and postgraduate research students scheduled for onsite attendance on the main campus and Beaumont campus.
Click & Deliver
Click & Deliver services allow you to place online requests for print books held in RCSI Library York Street and Beaumont Hospital for postal delivery.
This free service is available to all students who are not scheduled to access the library spaces in York Street and Beaumont Hospital:
The An Post Express Parcel delivery service is only available within the Republic of Ireland. If you are a student living in the UK or Northern Ireland, please contact us directly to discuss Click & Deliver options.
Scan and Send
Scan & Send is a free electronic document delivery service provided to RCSI staff and students and others registered to the institution such as honorary lecturers, clinical tutors and adjunct staff. Users can requests a scan of a book chapter or journal article from print materials held in RCSI Library York Street and Beaumont Hospital and the scan will be emailed to your RCSI email address. Materials provided are for personal use only and should not be shared or redistributed.
Click & Collect users
On the days you are scheduled for onsite access please use the book return bins available on site:
RCSI Library, York Street – Book Return Bin, Level 1
RCSI Library, Beaumont Hospital - the book return bin is located on the entrance level, adjacent to the print collections.
Click & Deliver users
When we post out requests to you we will include a return addressed, postage paid, parcel pouch. When you wish to return the items place them into the parcel pouch and drop into your local Post Office. They will scan the Express Parcel barcode and this will ensure the parcel can be tracked en route back to RCSI Library.

Students based in Connolly (GEM2) and Croke Park (Medicine Years 2 & 3) can return library materials to:
