Scan and Send Form

Who can use the Scan & Send service?

The service is available to all RCSI Staff and Students.

Before you submit a request

Please check

  • the RCSI Library catalogue to see if books of interest are available in the library or online
  • the Ejournals portal for electronic journals, as we may have online access to the journal/article of interest.

If RCSI Library does not have access to the item of interest, please use the document supply service.

If RCSI Library has no online access, but does have print copies of the item of interest, please submit a Scan & Send request.

How many requests can I submit?

You may place as many requests as you wish at the one time, but the Scan & Send service reserves the right to process one request per person per day, depending on the overall request volume.

What can be requested?

You can request scans of books chapters and journal articles from print items in the modern collections held in RCSI Library York Street and RCSI Library Beaumont Hospital.  We cannot provide scanned copies of materials held in the Mercer Store or Heritage Collections.  Every effort will be made to meet your request but this may not always be possible in light of availability and the limits imposed by the ICLA Higher Education Licence.

When the requestor submits the Scan & Send request they are agreeing to the terms of use of this service.
