AMBOSS is a learning resource and question bank. This resource will be of particular help to students preparing for USMLE examinations. It also includes 3D anatomy models, tours and views. AMBOSS is now available campus wide to all staff and students.
If you already have an AMBOSS account, activate your license as follows.
Log in to your account.
1. Go to Membership & Licenses and click “Add Institutional License”. Choose Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland School of Medicine from the dropdown menu and follow the authentication steps to manually activate the license.
If this is your first time activating your free AMBOSS access, follow the instructions below.
1. Register an AMBOSS account. Please use your approved email address to create your account (@rcsi.ie).
2. A confirmation email will be sent to your registration address.
3. Open the link in the confirmation email and provide your details on the registration page. Click “save” when complete.
Note - if you don't log in every 30 days you will be able to access AMBOSS but not the AMBOSS Library or AMBOSS QBank. If you wish to reactive your access to the AMBOSS Library or AMBOSS QBank just log out and in again to refresh your access levels. Your account will remain active as part of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland School of Medicine License until August 31, 2026
