It is highly recommended that EndNote 20 or another desktop version of EndNote is used instead of EndNote Online as it has much greater functionality.
EndNote Online has two main benefits when used in tandem with EndNote Desktop.
1. You can share your EndNote groups with other EndNote users.
2. You can sync your EndNote Desktop with EndNote Online in order to back up your EndNote library and use the cloud based version across different devices.
Remember to use the same email and password with registering with both EndNote Online and EndNote Desktop.
