On this page you will find everything you need to get started. The most important thing to remember is that there is a library team waiting to help you. 

Getting to the Library

Book & Attend

To study in the library you must pre-book your study space. Find out more information on booking a study space here.

Opening Hours

There are two libraries you can choose to study in:

  • 26 York Street open 7am - 10pm Monday - Sunday
  • Beaumont Hospital open 7am - 10pm Monday - Sunday

There are additional study spaces in the city centre:

  • Ardilaun Block B open 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday

Access

Your student ID card is your library card.

Borrowing Books

You can find out how many books you can borrow and for how long here.

Right now, students don't have access to the Reading Lounge, so library staff will retrieve books for you. You can make a Click & Collect request here

Online Resources

The library has access to thousands of online resources including journals, databases, e-books and more. 

You must login to access these resources. For a full guide on how to find information online, see the guide here

Library Bitesize

Check out the calendar on Moodle for upcoming skills sessions in Library Bitesize. 

Online Guides

The library has libguides for lots of topics, including EndNote, the search system Primo VE, wellbeing, and more
