Click & Deliver services allow you to place online requests for print books held in RCSI Library York Street and RCS Library Beaumont Hospital. The library team will arrange for the materials to be posted to you. This is a free service.
The Click & Deliver service is fully traceable both items sent out to you and items you return to us, once you drop the pouch to your local post office. In the event of a parcel going missing, we will work with An Post to investigate and liaise with you as required.
During Level 5 restrictions this free service is available to all RCSI students and staff.
The An Post Express Parcel delivery service is only available within the Republic of Ireland. If you are a student living in the UK or Northern Ireland, please contact us directly to discuss Click & Deliver options.
All items which can currently be borrowed from the RCSI Library York Street and RCS Library Beaumont Hospital collections can be requested via Click & Deliver.
Items in the store and Heritage Collection items cannot be requested via these services.
Please check Primo VE Search to see if the books of interest are available in the library or online. Please note the book title and author as you will need this information to complete the submission form.
Usual borrowing rules apply to requests. You can make requests up to the number of books you are allowed to borrow.
We aim to fulfil your request as soon as possible but delays may occur due to high demand, waiting for items to be returned from other users, the need to quarantine returned books. For the Click & Deliver service An Post Express Parcel delivery will be used to ensure items get to you as soon as possible.
The library team will email you to confirm what requests have been filled and posted to you and when you can expect delivery. Delivery will take approx. 2 working days (Monday-Friday) from the posting date.
When we post out requests to you we will include a return addressed, postage paid, parcel pouch. When you wish to return the items place them into the parcel pouch and drop into your local Post Office. They will scan the Express Parcel barcode and this will ensure the parcel can be tracked en route back to RCSI Library.
