Scan & Send is a free electronic document delivery service provided by RCSI Library to RCSI staff and students and others registered to the institution such as honorary lecturers, clinical tutors and adjunct staff.
Submit your request here and we will scan a book chapter or journal article from our print collections, and deliver it to your RCSI email address. Materials provided are for personal use only and should not be shared or redistributed.
All scans provided will be compliant with the ICLA Higher Education Licence limits for copying and distribution.
The service is available to all RCSI Staff and Students.

If RCSI Library does not have access to the item of interest, please use the document supply service.
If RCSI Library has no online access, but does have print copies of the item of interest, please submit a Scan & Send request.
You may place as many requests as you wish at the one time, but the Scan & Send service reserves the right to process one request per person per day, depending on the overall request volume.
You can request scans of books chapters and journal articles from print items in the modern collections held in RCSI Library York Street. We cannot provide scanned copies of materials held in the Mercer Store or Heritage Collections or RCSI Library, Beaumont Hospital. Every effort will be made to meet your request but this may not always be possible in light of availability and the limits imposed by the ICLA Higher Education Licence.
